About me (Anthony Turcios)
-
Systems Engineer @ Cloudflare
CDN (Cache)
I started on the Cache team in January. Since then I have been learning about Cloudflare's offerings and how the CDN service operates.
-
Software Development Engineer II @ Amazon Web Services
AWS IAM Identity Center
Most of my SDE II tenure consisted of designing and implementing a migration strategy to move our legacy pipelines to the AWS CDK. This process required me to work with other teams, Senior and Principal Engineers, and managers to align on a migration strategy that had zero impact on external customers and operations. I also worked to standardize how our team's future pipelines would be created and guided sister teams on their IaC migrations.

Software Development Engineer I @ Amazon Web Services
AWS Single Sign-On
As an SDE I, I worked closely with other teammates to break down a monolith control plane service into several microservices. Doing so gave me hands-on experience with other AWS services like IAM, DynamoDB, KMS, etc.
My capstone projects were 1) regional expansion into GovCloud regions and 2) designing a system to rotate SAML certificates in customer accounts.
-
Software Engineer Intern @ Viasat
Radio Frequency Communication Systems
Lots of Python, C, and a big embedded system: Viasat Radio Frequency Generator.
-
Computer Science @ Middlebury College
B.A. in Computer Science and Mathematics
I practically completed the Physics major but didn't have the time to finish the last lab course for the major. I particularly enjoyed E&M.
